Signatures

There are not signatures within our forum. The reason is, that search engines then will index keywords in postings, which are not according to the postings topic. All positings do contain a link to the authors profile. All informations about you could be stored into the profile field "About me".

Introductions

There is no category for new users to introduce theirself. The reason is, that the more introductions there would be, the more they are at the end of list. So, if someone is looking for someone special, this user always will use the user search within the community page. So, again, all informations about you could be stored into the profile field "About me". This will let other users know who you are, even if they only click in the "Who is online" list.

Be polite and courteous

In some (well, many) forums it is a common practice to flame on users with ordinary questions (which are perhaps answered already on other places in or outside the portal). This behaviour is not accepted on this portal. Every user with a question (context-related to this portal) should and will get a polite and courteous answer. And if this means, that an answer will be given 10 times, then this answer will be given 10 times.

There is no problem with giveing an answer in the form "Please look into the thread ...", but there is a problem with "Are you not able to search?" or "Man, this question was already asked a dozen times, take your lazy fingers and get a search result". Certainly there is no problem with positing a direct link to an external site as an answer, but the link should directly be able to answer the question and there should be some explaining words about the link.

At last, every comment or answer to any posting should have to be polite and courteous. Postings with defamations, wrongs or similiar things are not accepted. Postings like "What a nonsense you wrote..." or similiar will not be tolerated.
